Educational Advancement

Since 1993, The Canadian Council for the Advancement of Education (CCAE) embodies the voice of the Canadian advancement landscape, by connecting over 120-member schools to the pinnacle of advancement resources.

CCAE is a volunteer-led organization that promotes excellence in educational advancement. We provide opportunities for networking, professional learning and mutual support.

Members benefit directly through outstanding programming, resources, and value-added external stakeholders.

These opportunities are facilitated by esteemed peers and industry experts, who range in background by a multitude of school representations and disciplines, furthering this uniquely Canadian advancement niche.

Nomination form Distinguished Service Awards Outstanding
Friend of

The Friend of Education Award, supported by Offord Group, recognizes outstanding service or commitment to post-secondary or independent school education by a volunteer, organization, foundation, corporation or publication. The recipient will have made a significant contribution in a leadership role to the cause of institutional advancement or education in Canada. This award is made possible by Offord Group.

The Offord Group

The nomination documentation for the Friend of Education Award must contain:

  1. The nomination form.
  2. A letter of recommendation signed by the nominator. Not to exceed two pages, this letter should describe the breadth of contributions made by the candidate.
  3. A letter of reference supporting this nomination signed by someone from an institution other than the nominator. Past recipients have often submitted more than one letter of reference.
  4. A resumé or chronological listing of the nominee’s positions, titles and institutional affiliations. For volunteers, provide a listing for both occupational and institutional activities.

Please note that the laureate is expected to attend the CCAE Awards Evening during the 2018 CCAE National Conference, to be held in Halifax, NS.
