CCAE is a volunteer-led organization that promotes excellence in educational advancement. We provide opportunities for networking, professional learning and mutual support.

Members benefit directly through outstanding programming, resources, and value-added external stakeholders.

These opportunities are facilitated by esteemed peers and industry experts, who range in background by a multitude of school representations and disciplines, furthering this uniquely Canadian advancement niche.

Now is the time to start mapping out a capacity-building program and scout out a promising candidate for a 2016 TD Fellowship in Advancement

A TD Fellowship in Advancement adds bench strength to your Advancement team. Thanks to generous, long-term  support from TD Insurance Meloche Monnex, two $37,500, one-year TD Fellowships are available each year to CCAE member schools. Identify a promising candidate, craft your Fellowship program, and apply for a TD Fellowship in Advancement by January 15, 2016.

Landmark private gift to George Brown College
George Brown College has received an $8-million gift from Toronto business leader and philanthropist Jack Cockwell and the Brookfield Partners Foundation. This represents the largest one-time donation in George Brown's history and in the history of the Ontario college system. It will fund George Brown's redevelopment and expansion plans. George Brown's Waterfront Campus will be renamed the Daphne Cockwell Centre for Health Sciences in honour of Cockwell's late mother.

U Manitoba receives $150 million from Province
The University of Manitoba’s Front and Centre campaign received a huge boost through a $150 million cash injection from the Province of Manitoba. Premier Greg Selinger said the spending is part of the province's plan to "support innovation at universities and colleges" and help students gain the skills they need to secure good jobs in Manitoba. The Front and Centre campaign has raised over $365 million to date.

Aircraft donation is largest equipment gift to Okanagan College
A world-class aircraft donated to Okanagan College is the school’s most valuable donation of equipment ever. The the Swanberg family of Grande Prairie & Fort St. John donated the British Aerospace Model Jetstream 31, valued at nearly $700,000, in memory of Sylvan and Dorothy Swanberg. The aircraft will be used for training in the College’s Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) M-License program.

Canadian MBA and Global EMBA Rankings Out
The Financial Times released its worldwide ranking of Executive MBA programs two weeks after Canadian Business magazine ranked Canada’s Best MBAs 2016. CB placed U of Toronto’s Rotman School of Business in Canada’s top spot, while FT ranked five Canadian MBA programs in its top 100, including York University’s Kellogg-Schulich EMBA first in Canada at spot #25. Queen’s University’s Smith School of Business EMBA ranked 67th, 32 places higher since last year, earning the title “Highest Riser”.
