Don’t miss the next CCAeLearning webinar: Create tools that suit students and build on-campus engagement - February 23, 2017.

View the CCAeLearning schedule here. Each webinar runs from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Eastern.

Participants in the CCAeLearning session on January 26 - Bring them in! Using multi-media to recruit out-of-province students - heard the following valuable concepts:

  • Collaboration among advancement partners (in this case, Communications and Student Recruitment) can generate strategic and creative synergy.
  • Use “guerrilla” tactics to break down barriers. University of New Brunswick offered virtual-tour goggles and info packets to target audiences outside the Ontario Universities Fair, reaching students and parents who might not previously have considered UNB.
  • Research and test messages and media; even disruptive tactics should be backed by well-planned strategy.
  • Multi-purpose your campaigns (whether fundraising or recruitment) to build pride among both internal and external audiences.
  • Debrief, learn from successes and flops, and stay bold in your approach.

Many thanks to excellent presenters Amy Wyntjes, Marketing Officer; and Kurtis Knappe, Online Marketing Officer, Student Recruitment, University of New Brunswick.
