2014 CCAE National Conference Special Events
Tuesday, June 3, 2014
7 - 9 p.m.
Centennial Centre for Interdisciplinary Science (CCIS), University of Alberta Campus
The night before the conference PD sessions commence, all delegates are invited to join our host, University of Alberta President Indira Samarasekera, for the 2014 CCAE National Conference Opening Reception. This event is generously supported by Industrial Alliance and Financial Services Inc.
The reception venue is the stunning CCIS building, located in the heart of the University of Alberta campus, featuring a 40,000 square-foot terrazzo floor mosaic. Reconnect with colleagues and make new contacts as you savour food and drinks highlighting the tastes of Alberta, including Alberta beef (of course), micro-brews, and other locally sourced delicacies.
CCAE will introduce the newest Rising Star Award recipients and the 2014 TD Fellowship recipients.

2014 CCAE Awards Gala Dinner

6 p.m. Reception
7 p.m. Dinner
Hall D, Shaw Conference Centre
9797 Jasper Ave
Dust off your finery and join your colleagues in Hall D of the Shaw Conference Centre to enjoy dramatic views of the North Saskatchewan River valley as you celebrate the achievements of your peers at this annual, semi-formal gala dinner. Join us to applaud the recipients of the Outstanding Achievement Award and the Friend of Education Award, and the 2014 TD Fellows in Advancement, generously supported by TD Insurance Meloche Monnex.
After dinner, think fast. Edmonton was once home to Canadian comedy classic SCTV. Get in on the joke with city’s oldest improve group, Rapid Fire Theatre. Sit back and laugh your troubles away or be part of the creative process by contributing your ideas to create improvised scenes of hilarity. Laughter therapy!
