Join the University of Guelph and the re-imagined Alumni Affairs and Development team, charged with ambitious goals to raise unprecedented annual philanthropic support and to be one of Canada’s most sought-after advancement organizations!  Reporting to the Associate Vice-President Advancement and as a member of the leadership team, the newly created Director of Alumni & Annual Giving is the senior leader and advisor to the AVP on all aspects of alumni engagement, programming, affinity partnerships, annual giving and the University of Guelph Alumni Association (UGAA) and is invited to bring progressive ideas, an appetite for trying new things and a passion for meaningful connection to support our direction. 

AA&D is focused on and has enjoyed great success building lifelong relationships and partnerships that generate financial resources to support the University’s mission to Improve Life. With the generous support of our alumni and partners, the university is tackling relevant local and global issues, offering a tremendous platform for continued engagement and fundraising opportunities.  The Director would be joining a highly capable and supportive team in AA&D, with a strong focus on delivering results. 

As the ideal candidate, you bring a university degree coupled with six-eight (6-8) years’ experience as a collaborative and results-focused advancement leader at a university (or a comparable organization). You must have a strong fundraising and alumni engagement track record as well as success developing and implementing strategic plans for alumni engagement, programming and/or annual and leadership giving. You have an entrepreneurial mindset and can demonstrate your ability to leverage new technolgoy and trends as well as assess innovation for institutional benefit and impact. You are an expereinced people-leader with a style that inspires excellence and superior attention to service.
