The Associate Dean Research and Scholarship of Teaching and Learning is an academic position, designed to support the work of the College through the implementation of programming for the new School of Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.  Through collaborative leadership, the position will contribute to building upon the vision, quality and integrity of the College’s research portfolio through supporting teaching and research in the school, as well as through advancing their own research portfolio. Major responsibilities include advocating and promoting best practices in SoTL programming and research, promoting positive relationships internally and externally, attracting financial resources, and identifying and pursuing opportunities to support and enhance the long-term growth of the entire College. The new associate dean will have a relevant advanced degree at the doctoral level in Education, outstanding leadership experience in an academic environment, and a strong record of scholarly activity, including teaching and research, in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. Demonstrated experience in developing a vision and leading people to achieve exemplary performance and outcomes is essential. Preference will be given to candidates who have experienced success and demonstrated teaching, research, and leadership in a College of Education.
