Provide tools that give students what they need when they need it, in a user-friendly format, to build positive feelings and engagement before graduation. A student portal is one strategy, and a useful take-away from this CCAeLearning session.

Students at the University of Waterloo no longer need to search multiple website sections or send e-mail queries to gather the information they need to manage their campus life. The UW Student Portal provides a customized, mobile-friendly communications and student success tool that has proven highly popular. Tailor their strategies to your own school environment and reap the reward of engaged students who can become loyal alumni.

All CCAeLearning sessions are offered as a free professional benefit to CCAE members. No charge! An unlimited number of your staff can participate.

How does your major gifts prospect pipeline flow? In too many cases, Advancement Services and Development encounter clogs and bends in the line. But obstructions can be conquered with diligence and collaboration.

McGill University developed a process to capture and forward information between University Advancement (UA) departments, Prospecting and Pipeline Management (PPM) and fundraisers. UA members now “Feed the Lead” from events and activities to Development Officers (DOs) so they can act on the latest information.

The PPM team informs DOs of new leads and commits to quick turnaround in researching these individuals. DOs can also peruse a New Prospects in Qualification report, which creates buzz over new assignments.

Presto: pipeline unclogged! Of course it takes planning, work and cooperation to reach this state of flow. Join us to learn how.
