Facilitator: Lorna Somers - Director of Development at McMaster University and Vice-President of the McMaster University Foundation; a stellar speaker and expert in major gift fundraising and stewardship.
Attendees will learn about the importance of effective alumni engagement and solid alumni programming from Jeff Todd, Executive Director, alumni UBC and Associate Vice President, Alumni, at the University of British Columbia.
Sherry Booth, Director of Philanthropy, and Bruce Cater, Dean of Social Sciences from Trent University, will share how and why they have succeeded together in promoting major gifts and donor engagement at Trent.
A great bonus to attending is the chance to hear from a major philanthropist, public servant & business leader. Over lunch, Lynton R. (Red) Wilson, O.C., will speak candidly about his motivations and experiences as a leading volunteer and donor. Dr. Wilson is Chairman, The Wilson Foundation, Past Chancellor of the Canadian Business Hall of Fame and Chancellor Emeritus, McMaster University. He was honoured this summer as CCAE's 2017 Friend of Education for his extraordinary leadership and philanthropy.
