“One of the great pleasures that has come from my service to the CCAE board has been getting to know and work closely with Gillian Morrison. To be in her presence is to be continuously awed and impressed by her kindness, her professionalism and her deep and boundless knowledge of the Canadian advancement landscape.
This organization has seen remarkable advances in the last two years, from the expansion of the professional staff and the deepening of its partnership with CASE, to the critically important work that culminated this spring in the creation of CCAE’s new strategic plan. All of these contributions are incredible testaments to Gillian’s leadership, and for that, we all owe her a debt of gratitude.”
Derek Cassoff, Chair of the CCAE Board, McGill University
“Gillian has been an incredible leader for CCAE with her wise, empathetic, calm and inclusive style and relentless dedication to the impact that education and philanthropy can make in Canada. In her time as Chair, she has introduced the first CCAE-CASE study of educational philanthropy in Canada, strengthened the CCAE and staff teams, and introduced the next strategic plan that will benefit Canadian institutions and Advancement professionals for years to come. A consummate professional herself, she exemplifies the best of our profession and is oriented consistently to causes and issues that align with the greater good.”
