CCAE Conversation Day – Toronto

CCAE is heading to Toronto and excited to bring with it, a day of conversation. The full day of programming will feature discussions on talent, diversity and other hot topics facing advancement professionals.
CCAE will help set the stage for conversation, but attendees will really determine how enriching and valuable the day is. Take the time to submit questions in advance, take the time to attend and it will surely be a day not to be missed.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss important matters facing the advancement sector and hear from constituents who impact the work being done.
  • Hear different ways and innovations being used in other shops to tackle issues and explore personal implementation
  • Discover ways to meet constituents, talent, and community where they are and how to better maximize relationships with these important audiences.

Cultivating Talent Throughout the Employee Lifecycle

In a time of an increasingly competitive talent market, leaders have been tasked to support ambitious goals all while managing and retaining high performing staff. Now more than ever, attracting the right talent, thinking strategically about how to retain and develop staff for future opportunities within your organization is critical. This session will focus on how leaders can cultivate talent throughout the employee lifecycle. Utilizing a combination of lecture and roundtable discussions participants will review best practices, and examples from the University of Toronto Advancement team, and examples from fellow colleagues representing a variety of organizations.

Please note that the CCAE Conversation Day is part of CCAE’s Safe Space policy. No part of any sessions will be recorded or made available to anyone not in attendance of the in-person session. CCAE will be providing opportunity for all questions to be posted anonymously ahead of the in-person session time.
Any questions not fielded in-person, will be circulated to presenters to field offline and made available to participants with any offline session materials.

Registration & Cancellation Policy
Registration packages are applicable only for the event to which it was purchased. All registrations are individual purchases and cannot be shared. Please note that in the event of a forced cancellation as mandated by Federal or Provincial Government, CCAE reserves the right to cancel the event and all registrations will be subject to one of the cancellation options below. CCAE recognizes and will adhere to all guidelines put forth by public health both locally and provincially. For more information on the current guidelines for this region please visit the provincial and city public health websites where the event is taking place. To ensure a safe event for all, at the time of the event should you experience symptoms of COVID-19, or have been in contact with a confirmed case, or have been instructed to isolate for any reason by public health you will not be allowed to attend. If an event has to be cancelled or re-scheduled, CCAE will contact you as soon as possible to notify you of the change. CCAE is not responsible for any travel or accommodation expenses incurred in relation to in-person registrations. Individual cancellation options for extenuating circumstances: Should an individual be unable to attend due to items related to extenuating circumstances (illness, decease, departure from position, retirement etc.): Notice of all cancellations must be received in writing to admin@ccaecanada.org, 30 days in advance of the event start date. If you cancel your registration, three options are available: Your registration may be carried forward for you to attend a future event Your registration fees may be refunded (less a $250.00 administration fee) Your registration may be transferred to a colleague within your organization at any time After the 30 day deadline, there will be no refunds or carry-forwards. No-shows forfeit the full registration fee.
