St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation is a fast-paced, innovative fundraising organization committed to raising funds in support of St. Joseph’s Health Centre Toronto. St. Joe’s has provided care for millions of people in Toronto’s west end for more than a century. Today, it is one of Canada’s busiest community teaching hospital, looking after a vibrant community of over a half a million. Now part of Unity Health Toronto, St. Joe’s is uniquely positioned to inspire the best care experiences for all.

Following on the success of the recent $100M+ Promise campaign, the Foundation has launched its most ambitious campaign thus far, supporting the largest transformation of St. Joe’s in its history.

• Draft and personalize donor correspondence, proposals, and stewardship materials.
• Track and monitor donor activity, follow-ups, and outcomes using the Foundation’s CRM (Raiser’s Edge NXT).
• Coordinate logistics for CEO donor meetings and events, ensuring a seamless and professional experience.

Mid-Level Donor Engagement (50%)
• Manage and grow a personal portfolio of approximately 50 to 75 mid-level donors and prospects (gifts in the $5,000–$25,000 range).
• Develop and implement tailored cultivation and solicitation strategies to increase giving and deepen donor engagement.
• Identify potential major gift prospects for pipeline development and refer to the Senior Manager, Development as appropriate.
• Conduct donor calls, meetings, and personalized stewardship activities, in collaboration with the Development team.
• Maintain accurate, timely records of all interactions and plans in Raiser’s Edge NXT.

Qualifications and Core Competencies:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or a related role, ideally within a healthcare or nonprofit setting.
• Proven ability to build and manage donor relationships with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.
• Demonstrated success using moves management strategies to engage, solicit, and steward donors, with a focus on securing philanthropic support.
• Proficient in CRM systems, preferably Raiser’s Edge NXT, with a commitment to timely and accurate data entry and activity tracking.
• Strong written communication skills, with experience personalizing proposals, donor correspondence, briefing/debriefing notes, and meeting talking points.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to plan and implement customized cultivation and engagement activities that lead to confirmed gifts.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable conveying the Foundation’s mission and vision in an inspiring and compelling manner.
